The other day, I attended a talk on Virtual Reality in Events. I asked the speaker why he had mentioned that this type of service was NOT expensive, as my experience had shown that whenever I offered a Virtual Reality session to corporate clients, most of their feedback was that it was “expensive.”

In his response, he made me realize that the answer depended more on the “audience” than the service itself.

He explained that this usually happened when the company (or its top management) was of Spanish origin. However, when he presented the same product to an American company (for example), they would say the complete opposite, that it was “cheap”!

This made me think and reflect it’s true!

Here in Spain and in Mediterranean countries, we are accustomed to the “3 Bs” (Good, Nice, and Cheap). Please, that doesn’t exist!

Let’s get rid of that mindset and start working for quality and service, understanding that quality comes with a price, and good work is an investment, not a cost.

If we ourselves don’t realize this and don’t value our own products, services, and expertise, no one else will.

Thank you for the response.

Let’s value our work as event organizers.

Making a difference depends only on ourselves, not on others!

*(in Spanish: good, nice & cheap!)
